The company was formed in 1991 for the express purpose of providing discount airline tickets for missions travel. Since that time, Adventure Travel has grown to six employees who are all trained specialists on the Amadeus computer reservation system. Their clientel consists of literally thousands of churches, mission organizations and individual short and long term missionaries who have been served by this Christ centered travel agency that has a heart for world missions.
Since 1999, Adventure Travel Service has been designated the official travel agency of Heartland Missionfest, an honor that we do not take lightly.
Kedre James - Duties as office manager and travel agent keeps Kedre busy, besides being a wife and mother of three. Her favorite pastime, traveling, has led her to many destinations, including Europe and many countries in the Caribbean basin.
Melanie Adams - Received her training at American Airlines Sabre school and worked for a large agency in another city, Melanie brings a varied experience that enables her to plan trips to the last detail. She and her husband have one pet, Happy, a part Beagle,part Bassett Hound who likes to eat apples, popcorn, and yogurt.
David Tinney - Started the company in 1991 with a desire to provide low cost tickets and great service for mission travel. Also an ordained minister, David has ministered in several foreign nations as well as pastored a new church plant. He is founder and president of Family Aid International, a non-profit Christian Humanitarian organization bringing relief to poverty stricken countries.
Merl Tinney - As the agency grew, Merl stopped making reservations in order to assume all the accounting and back office responsibilities. His experience as a small business owner has helped shape the company to one of the leading mission travel agencies in America.
Eric Tinney - After helping to develop the agency's online booking program and nearly three years of providing service and support to customers who placed online travel bookings, Eric stopped working in an agent capacity to assume the role of the agency's Network Administrator. Eric has a Jack Russell Terrier named Andy who makes occasional visits to the office.
